Hormonal changes during pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.
Physical effects from: weight gain, heavy lifting, direct injury to the pelvis, & gynecological surgeries

You will also learn proper body mechanics, postural education, education in self-management and prevention. Below is a sample of treatment for general problems. Treatments are limited to the list below. After an initial evaluation your treatment program will be designed for you and will be modified during the course of your treatment depending on your progression and your response to treatment.
If muscles are weak you will be taught Kegel exercises for internal strength, core muscle exercises for full body strengthening.
If muscles are tight you will be taught stretches of the hip and back muscles, manual techniques perform by the PT, relaxation/deep breathing and mindfulness activities.
If muscles create pain treatment would include some of the above treatments and manual release by the PT, modalities such as E-stim, heat/ ice.
